US GOV. DRUG RUNNERS

Governments, mostly thru corporations and military’s, have always lead the world in drug trafficking ! Do You recall, the The British East India company and their opium wars, with China ? From the opium wars, till to today’s Afghanistan serving as the world’s number one heroin hub providing well over 90% of the World’s heroin under the boots of tens of thousands of US-led NATO forces. In the background of this the United Nations has advised that opium cultivation in Afghanistan has increased for the third year in a row . The report said poppy cultivation was highest in regions where US-led troops had been stationed over the past years, which is mostly in the southern parts. Last year Afghanistan supplied about 75 percent of the global supply of heroin, a derivative of opium, which is expected to jump to 90 percent this year due to the increased cultivation.

Nations Largest Cocaine Smuggler Revealed: The DEA

Published on Jan 15, 2014

For decades, it has been rumored the United States government was secretly sponsoring the smuggling of cocaine into the country. Federal officials have long denied such speculation, pointing out the billions of dollars spent intercepting drugs. Newly released documents, and testimony from Justice Department and DEA officials now show the stories of government running cocaine are true.

An investigation conducted in Mexico found the American government allowed that country’s largest drug cartel, Sinaloa, to operate without fear of persecution. That groups is estimated to be responsible for 80 percent of the cocaine coming into the country through Chicago. In exchange, the leaders of Sinaloa provided the DEA information on rival gangs.

The drug cartel working with the federal government is run by . He is considered to be the world’s most powerful drug trafficker. In addition to Chicago, his group also maintains cocaine operations in several major cities around the country.

Written statements were provided to a U.S. District Court in Chicago, confirming the alliance between the DEA and Mexico’s largest cocaine cartel. The written testimony, combined with other evidence, shows DEA officials met with leaders of the Sinaloa cartel more than 50 times between 2000 and 2012. This would mean DEA-authorized drug smuggling goes back to at least the beginning of the George W. Bush administration, and continued for year under Barack Obama.

One of the groups leaders, Vincente Zambada-Niebla, claims the American government also sent military-grade weapons to Sinoloa. According to the latest revelations, it was these weapons which were part of the Fast-and-Furious scandal. Automatic firearms which disappeared during that operation, led by Eric Holder, were used to kill U.S. Border agents.

This latest evidence and testimony points toward a massive scandal, involving both Republican and Democratic administrations. At the very least, this provides the best evidence so far that the Federal government was sponsoring the smuggling of billions of dollars of cocaine into the United States. Worse still, weapons purchased for the U.S. military may have been sent to the cartel, and used to kill American agents.

Another question being asked is, how much does the pharmaceutical industry actually pay government officials to control it’s competition, by way of the war on drugs. She serves to expose the corrupt nature of government through the drug industry.

Abby Martin remarks on comments made by anonymous Pentagon and NSA officials expressing their desire to see Edward Snowden dead. Abby then calls attention to the epidemic of prescription drug addiction in the US, speaking with filmmakers Sasha Knezev and Dr. Gregory Smith about their documentary ‘American Addict’ exploring the roots and effects of America’s deadly addiction to prescription narcotics. Abby then calls out Obama’s long awaited speech regarding NSA surveillance, dissecting aspects of the speech that suggest no real change to global surveillance policies. BTS wraps up the show with an interview with Douglas Wissing, journalist and author of ‘Funding the Enemy’ discussing the deteriorating relationship between Washington and Kabul, and the US governments mismanagement of taxpayer dollars that has led to both direct and indirect funding of the Taliban in Afghanistan.

CONFIRMED: The DEA Struck A Deal With Mexico’s Most Notorious Drug Cartel

An investigation by El Universal found that between the years 2000 and 2012, the U.S. government had an arrangement with Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel that allowed the organization to smuggle billions of dollars of drugs while Sinaloa provided information on rival cartels.Sinaloa, led by Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, supplies 80% of the drugs entering the Chicago area and has a presence in cities across the U.S.

There have long been allegations that Guzman, considered to be “the world’s most powerful drug trafficker,” coordinates with American authorities.

But the El Universal investigation is the first to publish court documents that include corroborating testimony from a DEA agent and a Justice Department official.

The written statements were made to the U.S. District Court in Chicago in relation to the arrest of Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, the son of Sinaloa leader Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada and allegedly the Sinaloa cartel’s “logistics coordinator.”

Here’s what DEA agent Manuel Castanon told the Chicago court:

“On March 17, 2009, I met for approximately 30 minutes in a hotel room in Mexico City with Vincente Zambada-Niebla and two other individuals — DEA agent David Herrod and a cooperating source [Sinaloa lawyer Loya Castro] with whom I had worked since 2005. … I did all of the talking on behalf of [the] DEA.”

A few hours later, Mexican Marines arrested Zambada-Niebla (a.k.a. “El Vicentillo”) on charges of trafficking more than a billion dollars in cocaine and heroin. Castanon and three other agents then visited Zambada-Niebla in prison, where the Sinaloa officer “reiterated his desire to cooperate,” according to Castanon.

El Universal, citing court documents, reports that DEA agents met with high-level Sinaloa officials such as Castro more than 50 times since 2000.

Then-Justice Department prosecutor Patrick Hearn told the Chicago court that, according to DEA special agent Steve Fraga, Castro “provided information leading to a 23-ton cocaine seizure, other seizures related to” various drug trafficking organizations, and that “El Mayo” Zambada wanted his son to cooperate with the U.S.

Suspected Mexican drug trafficker Vicente Zambada-Niebla

“El Vicentillo” being presented to the media in Mexico City on March 19, 2009.

We now know that the US government entered into a formal alliance with the Sinaloa (Mexico) drug cartel between 2000 and 2012.

We also know that this is tied to the “Fast and Furious” scandal in which US gun stores were ordered to sell guns via dodgy or non-existent paperwork to Mexican nationals.

We’ve known for years that most of the guns went to the Sinaloa cartel. We now know from US DEA agents that there was a formal agreement to allow the Sinaloa to take drugs into the US and ship money out.

But did you really think the buck stops there? Give me a break. For over a year now I have followed the HSBC and LIBOR banking scandals and guess what? US Banks have been laundering money into Mexico from the get-go! Note which gang the major US banks were laundering money for: the Sinaloa.

Do you really think this is a coincidence?

The US allied with the Sinaloa against other cartels. As best we can tell, and this isn’t proven yet but it makes sense, the main “enemy cartel” was the Zetas, which started out as an elite anti-cartel unit of the Mexican military given special SWAT-level training and equipment by the US before they went rogue.

Report: ‘Fast and Furious’ gun turns up at Mexico shootout scene

A gun from the failed U.S. operation known as “Fast and Furious” turned up at the scene of a shootout between Mexican authorities and alleged cartel gunmen last month, according to CNN.

U.S. officials told CNN at least one AK-47-style gun that could be traced back to the failed gun-walking scheme was found at the scene.

The shootout on Dec. 18 left five alleged cartel members dead in Puerto Peñasco, a popular tourist site in Mexico.

The now-defunct Fast and Furious program began in 2009 and was run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Agents allowed low-level weapons purchasers to cross the Mexican border in an attempt to expose trafficking routes used by Mexican cartels. But the agency ultimately lost track of some weapons, including two found at the scene of the killing of a border patrol agent in 2010.

The ATF acknowledged that weapons from the operation would likely continue to turn up at crime scenes.

How a big US bank laundered billions from Mexico’s murderous drug gangs

As the violence spread, billions of dollars of cartel cash began to seep into the global financial system. But a special investigation by the Observer reveals how the increasingly frantic warnings of one London whistleblower were ignored

On 10 April 2006, a DC-9 jet landed in the port city of Ciudad del Carmen, on the Gulf of Mexico, as the sun was setting. Mexican soldiers, waiting to intercept it, found 128 cases packed with 5.7 tons of cocaine, valued at $100m. But something else – more important and far-reaching – was discovered in the paper trail behind the purchase of the plane by the Sinaloa narco-trafficking cartel.

We should Just Legalize Drugs? END THE FAILED DRUG WAR NOW!

Legalize and control it
, just like we do alcohol. Prohibition was ended, because of the amount of young men, at that time white young men, that were dying on the drug corners and filling up the prisons. Now for 50 years or so, our countries young black men, have been dying and filling up the prisons. We haven’t forgotten that prohibition doesn’t work, but the prison industrial complex has found that criminalizing this portion of our society, to be very profitable. The problem is we are criminalizing our future, while corrupting judges, lawyers, politicians, bankers and cops. We have to legalize and control drugs for the health of our communities. The drug game is corrupting every facet of our government and society. The big picture for us, is end the drug game and we put ourselves, and our children, on a more equal playing field.

The Drug War And Mass Incarceration By The Numbers

NEW YORK — Despite an increased emphasis on treatment and prevention programs in recent years, the Obama administration in its 2013 budget still requested $25.6 billion in federal spending on the drug war. Of that, $15 billion would go to law enforcement, interdiction and international efforts.

The pro-reform Drug Policy Alliance estimates that when you combine state and local spending on everything from drug-related arrests to prison, the total cost adds up to at least $51 billion per year. Over four decades, the group says, American taxpayers have dished out $1 trillion on the drug war.

What all that money has helped produce — aside from unchanged drug addiction rates — is the world’s highest incarceration rate. According to the Sentencing Project, 2.2 million Americans are in prison or jail.

More than half of federal prisoners are incarcerated for drug crimes in 2010, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and that number has only just dipped below 50 percent in 2011. Despite more relaxed attitudes among the public at large toward non-violent offenses like marijuana use, the number of people in federal prison for drug offenses spiked from 74,276 in 2000 to 97,472 in 2010, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

The punishment falls disproportionately on people of color. Blacks make up 50 percent of the state and local prisoners incarcerated for drug crimes. Black kids are 10 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes than white ones — even though white kids are more likely to abuse drugs.

A chart produced by the American Civil Liberties Union shows just how staggeringly large the US prison population has grown.
